Cannabis Rated More Effective and Safer Than Pharmaceuticals by Endometriosis Patients, Study Finds

According to survey data published in the journal Reproduction & Fertility, most people living with endometriosis report that cannabis provides better symptom relief and fewer side effects compared to pharmaceutical medications.

Australian researchers gathered responses from 889 endometriosis patients across 28 countries. The findings echo previous research: a majority of respondents reported positive outcomes from using medical cannabis. Specifically, 78% said cannabis was more effective than their current or past prescription medications, and the same percentage said it came with less severe side effects.

Nearly 70% of participants turned to cannabis due to poor pain relief from conventional treatments. Notably, 90% said they would recommend cannabis to a friend or relative dealing with the disease.
